Children With Wands is a Rules Lite Cooperative Table Top Roleplaying Game about a group of young children living in an idyllic fantasy world who have just come into their magic. However, as children, they lack the control over how powerful the spells they cast are. This will often lead to interesting complications. Complications that you and your friends get to solve with more magic!
In most D20 based Tabletop RPGs the players will roll dice to determine how well your character performs. Traditionally the higher you roll the better you do. In Children With Wands you instead roll to determine how powerful a spell you cast. A high roll is not always good.
Children With Wands is very much a game about cause and effect. Things will go wrong and you will have to solve them as a group.
The Basics of How to Play
The Goal for Children With Wands Is to do a physical and digital release on getting funding from Kickstarter. I want to have the project very close to finished before I ask anyone to fund. So it may be a little bit before the Kickstarter launches. I am however seeking play testers and if that is something that interests you I will have links as to how you can get in touch.
